A client in the SCADA market was developing a new product to control power sub-stations, requiring perfect time-synchronisation between units on a daisy-chained fibre network.

Our software-only solution re-implemented time management and tracking within the Linux kernel, achieving synchronisation across multiple units within 150us of a GPS master source, even though we had to work through multiple network switches.
